Randall Scott “Randy” Henley, age 69, passed away July 10, 2020. Randy was born on January 16, 1951 in Shreveport, LA to Andrew C. and Lillian Byrd Henley. He graduated Woodlawn High School. Randy joined the United States Airforce, where he served for 33 years and retired as a Senior Master Sargent with the 917th Wing and 93rd Bomb Squadron. After retiring from the Air Force, he went to work for the United States National Weather Service, where he later retired after 12 years.

Randy was the person you turned to for sound advice and encouragement. He had a fervent knowledge of and love for music, which he continuously shared with those around him. He had a passion for teaching and was a retired electronics teacher at Remington College. He loved to share stories from his time in the Air Force and traveling around the world. One of Randy’s favorite hobbies was bowling with his wife, friends and grandson. Another favorite hobby was remolding houses with his son. He loved hard and had a way of making you feel like you were the most special person in the room.

You rarely saw Randy without his wife of 50 years, Frances. His love for her, his son, daughter, granddaughter and grandson was immeasurable. He was affectionately known as Pops to his “adopted” sons, whom he loved like they were his own.

Randy is survived by his wife, Frances Walker Henley; son, Aaron Scott Henley and wife Kelsey; granddaughter, Laurie A. Potter; grandson, Brennen C. Henley; sister, Judy Harrelson and numerous nieces and nephews.

Randy was preceded in death by his daughter, Amanda Lorin Henley Potter; father, Andrew C. Henley; mother, Lillian Byrd Henley; and brothers Paul T. Henley and Billy F. Henley.

Visitation will be held Monday, July 13, 2020 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home. The Family will be having a private funeral ceremony and burial at Centuries Memorial.

Pallbearers will be Troy Adkins, David Henley, Sonny Henley, Steve Jenkins, David McCoy, Kevin McCoy, Mike Waddell and Rickey Young. Brennen Henley will serve as the honorary pallbearer.
