Randy was the person you turned to for sound advice and encouragement. He had a fervent knowledge of and love for music, which he continuously shared with those around him. He had a passion for teaching and was a retired electronics teacher at Remington College. He loved to share stories from his time in the Air Force and traveling around the world. One of Randy’s favorite hobbies was bowling with his wife, friends and grandson. Another favorite hobby was remolding houses with his son. He loved hard and had a way of making you feel like you were the most special person in the room.
You rarely saw Randy without his wife of 50 years, Frances. His love for her, his son, daughter, granddaughter and grandson was immeasurable. He was affectionately known as Pops to his “adopted” sons, whom he loved like they were his own.
Randy is survived by his wife, Frances Walker Henley; son, Aaron Scott Henley and wife Kelsey; granddaughter, Laurie A. Potter; grandson, Brennen C. Henley; sister, Judy Harrelson and numerous nieces and nephews.
Randy was preceded in death by his daughter, Amanda Lorin Henley Potter; father, Andrew C. Henley; mother, Lillian Byrd Henley; and brothers Paul T. Henley and Billy F. Henley.
