Earnest Clinton Jones, 42, of Novelty, Missouri, formerly of Pottsville, died Tuesday, July 7, 2020, at his residence. A son of Luther and Sandra Gale (Reppond) Jones, he was born August 29, 1977, in Danville, Arkansas.
Earnie was a gentle soul who was loved by everyone who knew him. During his working years, he was a road construction worker with Blackstone. He was an avid hunter & fisherman, loved playing his guitar, was an accomplished musician, and a die-hard Arkansas Razorback fan. More than anything in life, he gained the greatest joy in spending time with his children. He composed a lullaby for his daughter and was a nurturing dad to his children from their first breath until his last.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Auton Jones; and his grandmother, Velma Jones.
He is survived by his daughter and son, Ashlyn Jones & Bredon Jones, and their mother, Melissa Flud Jones; his mother, Sandra Bowman (Gary); his father, Luther Clinton Jones (Peggy); his sister, Beverly Beam (Jason); and his brother, David Jones; and other relatives & friends.

Surviving are his father Luther Jones and Peggy of Morrilton, AR; his mother Sandra Bowman and Gary of Novelty, MO, one daughter Pvt. First Class Ashlyn Jones serving our country in Seoul, South Korea and son Bredon Michael Jones of Novelty, MO brother David Jones of Flat River, MO, sister Beverly Beam and Jason of Dardanelle, AR and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
Earnest received his education in Pottsville, AR where he graduated from High School. He was employed as a heavy equipment operator for an asphalt Company. He had also been employed by a lumber company at a sawmill.
Earnest was an accomplished guitarist and had composed his own music.
