Garland E. Eskridge was the first born son of Clarence Eskridge and Deliah Elizabeth (Beauchamp) Eskridge. He was born on December 13, 1905. He was married twice. His first wife was Lelia G. Waller, the daughter of J. W. Waller and Mary E. Beauchamp. His second wife was Mallie (Woosley) Geary, the daughter of Joshua Woosley and Martha Elizabeth Wilson. He died on May 15, 1974, in Grayson Sounty, Kentucky, and was buried in the Eskridge Cemetery on Highway 79 near the Rough River Dam. Both of his wives are buried there with him.
