Richard graduated from PHS in 1977, and was a man of many talents. He taught himself to play the guitar and the violin. Richard loved to play for family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Julia of 41 years and a son, Richard II of Marietta, OH; grandson, William Ogden of Marietta; brother, Kevin (Sharon) of Parkersburg; sister, Kim of Reynoldsburg, OH; an aunt, Rosalyn Jackson; uncle James (Marcello) both of Belpre, OH, plus many nieces and nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers, Mark A. Ogden, Warner S. Ogden, Jr. and Michael E. Ogden; an uncle and aunt, Charles and Florence Reed; and uncle, Samuel Jackson and a cousin, Renee (Reed) Keels.
In lieu of services due to the current pandemic, the family has decided on a private viewing and cremation.
Richard’s legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of his family and friends and everyone he interacted with through the years, as a gentle but strong soul full of wisdom.
