Chartley, 87, of Wapakoneta, died at 2:24 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 30, 2007, at Auglaize Acres. He was born April 16, 1920, in Paulding County, the son of Flossie (Elston) and Earl B. Struble, who preceded him in death.

On May 15, 1943, he married Ruth R. Tippie, and she survives.
Mr. Struble is also survived by a son, Edward E. (Jan) Struble of Durham, N.C.; two daughters, Nina L. Struble of Wapakoneta and Ina M. (Terry) Wooley of Charlotte, Mich.; four grandchildren; four great grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; a sister, Vera Ernest of Athens, Ala.; and a sister-in-law, Jean Struble of Lima.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Otis and Galen Struble, and a sister, Edna Dunlap.

Mr. Struble retired as machinist after 39 years service with BLH/Clark Equipment in Lima. He was a member of the Salem United Methodist Church in Wapakoneta, Clark Equipment Retirees, and the AARP. He was a graduate of Columbus Grove High School and a Cub Scout advisor. He loved music, and he could fix anything that needed fixing.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday at the Bayliff & Eley Funeral Home, State Route 501, Wapakoneta, with the Rev. Gregory Roberts officiating.
Burial is to follow in the Greenlawn Cemetery in Wapakoneta.
