CAMERON - Noah Earl (Peanut) Barron, 86, of Cameron died Saturday, March 3, 2007 in a Cameron hospital. Funeral services were held Sunday, March 4, at the Oak Hill Pavilion with Rev. Jim Lafferty officiating. Burial followed in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Barron, a lifelong rancher and cowboy.

He was born Feb. 14, 1921 in the Ad Hall community of Milam County to John Lee and Lilly (Kennedy) Barron.

He was a U.S. Army veteran.

He married Edith Walton in 1953.

Mr. Brown was a member of the Cowboy Hall of Fame. In addition to being a cowboy, he had worked as a cattle brand inspector.

Three children and three brothers preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife, Edith Barron of Cameron; son, John Barron and wife Kim of Cameron; granddaughter, Ashley Barron.
