Melvin G. “Merv” Clark, III, 72, of Everett, was called home to be with the Lord on Friday, June 19th, 2020.

He was born Thursday, August 7th, 1947 in Everett a son of the late Melvin G. Clark, Jr., and Lorna (Stiffler) Clark.

On August 8th, 1968 in Cumberland, he married Jody Lynn (Bush) Clark who survives along with their children,

Schatze Young and husband Mark Young of Everett,
Casey Clark and wife Selvi of Gaithersburg,
Cody Clark and wife Vanessa of Mount Joy,

7 grandchildren; Daron Clark, Berkley Clark, Rylee Clark, Reagan Clark, Emily Young, Rehya Clark, Naiya Clark,

2 great-grandsons, Knoxx and Ryatt,

a sister, Debra K. Hughes and husband Luke Hughes of Everett,

5 brothers,
Terry D. Clark of Everett,
Lynn R. Clark and wife Nancy (Shaffer) Clark of Bedford,
Clarence D. Clark and wife Cathy (Foor) Clark of Everett
Joseph D. Clark and wife Barbara (Bollman) Clark of Everett
Jeffrey L. Clark and wife Karen (Rohrer) Clark of Everett,

An aunt, Wanda "Tootie" Lehman of Everett,

A sister-in-law, Marian (Miller) Clark of Everett,

2 brothers-in-law, Robert C. Bush and wife Carey of New Enterprise and Randy L. Bush and wife Kathy of Everett, and many loving cousins, nieces, nephews and their families.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in passing away by a brother Randy E. Clark and a sister-in-law Sherry (Bush) Cornelius.

Mr. Clark attended the Clear Creek Brethren in Christ Church and was a graduate of Everett Southern Joint High School, Class of 1965. He was also a graduate of the Art Institute of Pittsburgh where he studied Commercial Art.

Merv then served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War as a Radio Relay and Carrier Attendant with the 123rd Infantry Regiment in Germany, receiving the National Defense Service Medal, the Good Conduct Medal and the Expert M-14 Sharpshooter Medal Pin.

After his service to our country, Merv began his lifelong career with Sprint United Telephone Company, where he was employed for over 32 years as a Linesman and System Repairman until retiring.

In his younger years, he enjoyed coaching for the Everett little league and flag football teams and was a 48-year member of the Everett American Legion Post #8. A quiet man with a good heart, he will be remembered for the support and love of his family and friends. A special note, Merv’s family would like to thank Dr. Bilofsky and his staff for their many years of care and concern.

Funeral service will be Saturday, June 27th, 2020 at 1:00pm at Everett Cemetery with Pastor John Guyer officiating.

Friends may call at the cemetery on Saturday from 12:30 pm until the hour of service and share memories online at www.dallavalle-everett.com.

Full military honors will be conducted by the Everett Honor Guard.
