Mary Ann Ortiz, age 83, passed away peacefully on July 9, 2020 at Symphony of Orchard Valley in Aurora, IL. She was born on September 1, 1936 in Chicago, IL to Clemente and Pauline Ortiz, who preceded her in death.

Mary Ann is the loving mother of Steven (Adele) Castro, Kim (Diane) Castro, Rosanne (Mario) Woods, Pamela (Donald) Sharpe, the late Simon (Rebecca) Castro, Dominic (Nancy) Castro, Anthony Castro, Ronald Castro, Roxanne (Peter) Laurin, Luis (Maya) Castro and Christina (Noel) Cruz; the cherished grandmother of 38 wonderful grandchildren and great grandchildren; the dear sister of the late Salvador (the late Karen) Ortiz, the late Irene (the late Roger) Chavez, the late Patricia (Richard) Channey, the late Teresa (Willie) Chavez, Pauline (Joe) Ramirez, Lori (the late Orlando) Ortiz and the late Peter Ortiz; as well as the adoring aunt of many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Sunday, July 12, 2:00 until 6:00 PM at the Overman-Jones Funeral Home, corner of Routes 30 & 59, Plainfield. State guidelines allow for no more than 50 individuals to gather at any time during the visitation and masks must be worn. Private Family Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home and interment will be private.
