MORELAND Raymond Earl Reed, 68, of Hustonville died at 5:45 a.m. Sunday at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Lexington.

Born Mary 30, 1920, in Casey County, he was the son of the late Lee and Dollie Pemberton Reed.

He served in World War II and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and Disabled American Veterans.

Survivors include his wife, Wilma Jean Burkett Reed; four sons, Raymond E. Reed Jr. of Danville, Samuel Wayne Reed of Lawrenceburg and Johnny Lee and Billy Reed, both of Hustonville, two daughters, Mrs. Richard (Joyce) Rousey of Moreland and Dolly Jane Reed of Hustonville; a brother, Isaac Reed of Owensboro; three sisters, Clara Allen of Decatur, 111., Edith Mullinix of Hammond, and Ruby Lane of Lancaster; and 22 grandchildren.

He was a retired truck driver and bought and sold lumber.

The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home, Moreland, by the Rev. George Darnell.

Burial, with military rites, will be in Hustonville Cemetery. Grandsons will be pallbearers.
