Mrs. Tipton Dies
Stroke Believed To Have Taken Lyons Woman's Life

Mrs. Louetta Tipton, 72, was found dead in her home at 309 East Main street in Lyons at noon today. She had been in ill health the past year and her death was believed to have been caused by a stroke.

Mrs. Perry Wilson, a neighbor, called at Mrs. Tipton's home this morning to inquire about her health, since she had not been feeling well yesterday. She was unable to get a response, and so summoned other neighbors. They entered the house and found Mrs. Tipton lying on the kitchen floor, attired in her night clothes. A local physician who was called said she probably had been dead about seven hours.

Mrs. Tipton lived in Rice county most of her life. She was born December 5, 1879, and was a member of the Christian church. She moved to Indiana where she lived a few years after being married, but later returned to Rice county.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Louise Franklin and Mrs. Naomi Christianson, both of Denver, Colo.; a brother, T. L. Morris, of Omaha, Nebraska; one grandchild, and two great grandchildren. Leon Morris of Mitchell is a nephew and Miss Charlotte Lansing and Mrs. Lena Rollins, both of Chase, are cousins.

Mrs. Tipton's husband was killed a number of years ago when the horse drawn buggy in which he was riding was struck by a motorcycle south of Lyons.

No funeral arrangements have been announced.
