Rev. Cornelius Sweet was the husband of Charlotte M. (Wise) Sweet. He was a minister in the Wyoming Conference of the Methodist Episcopal Church for fifty-six years. He served during the Civil War - August 21, 1862-June 9 1865 - was with General Sherman in his march to the sea.
