Billy served in the Army during the Korean Conflict as an artillery gunman.
He married Virginia Fleming October 7, 1949 in Reno, NV.
Billy worked as a warehouseman in plumbing supplies in Oakland, CA for almost 20 years. After moving to Oregon, he worked at the Lane County Disposal site for 15 years. Billy enjoyed watching the farm report. He was a member of the Old Time Gospel Church in Cottage Grove and was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels.
Billy is survived by his daughter Kathleen Lindahl of Sacramento, CA; son Michael Dennis of Cottage Grove, OR; son Thomas Dennis; son William Dennis; sister Barbara Dennis of Cottage Grove, OR; 8 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
Billy is preceded in death by his spouse Virginia Dennis and daughter Jennifer Gruge.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, July 14, 2020 at Fir Grove Cemetery. Arrangements in the care of Smith-Lund-Mills Funeral Chapel, Cottage Grove, OR.
