Melba Jean Thrift, age 89, of Alma passed away at her residence on July 10, 2020 after an extended illness. She was born in Willacoochee on October 15, 1930 to the late Albert Curtis Seller and Beulah Brown Seller. She was a member of Mount Pleasant Church.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by three brothers, Norman Sellers, Spenser Sellers and Albert Sellers.

Survivors include her husband of 71 years, Charles William Thrift of Alma, three sons, Charles Thrift, Jr. of Douglas, Johnny Ray Thrift of Alma and Tony Curtis Thrift (Karen) of Jesup, 6 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held Monday, July 13th at 10:00 AM at Rose Hill Cemetery with Rev. John Gibbs officiating.

Crosby Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
