THORNTON, Sharon C., 66, of Midlothian, Va., passed away on Sunday, February 19, 2017, in the hospital, peacefully and painlessly. Sharon was born July 15, 1950, to her loving parents, Vernon Stone and Raymond J. Canning. She is survived by her son, Christopher C. Thornton, along with cousins and friends. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, March 5, at Emmanuel Episcopal Church, 1214 Wilmer Ave., Richmond, Va. where she was a lifelong member.
