OAK GROVE, LA - Funeral services for Raymond Anderson Warren, age 97 of Oak Grove, Louisiana will be held at 3 PM on Sunday, July 12, 2020 at Cox Funeral Home Chapel, 200 East Noble Street in Oak Grove, Louisiana.

Reverends Shawn Corley and Jimbo Herring will officiate.

Interment will follow in the Forest Corner Cemetery near Forest, Louisiana.

Services are under the direction of Cox Funeral Home of Oak Grove, Louisiana.

A time of visitation will be held from 1 to 3 PM on Sunday, July 12, 2020 at Cox Funeral Home, 200 East Noble Street in Oak Grove, Louisiana.

Mr. Warren passed into eternal life on Friday, July 10, 2020 at West Carroll Memorial Hospital in Oak Grove, Louisiana.

Mr. Warren was a longtime farmer and resident of West Carroll Parish, Louisiana where he was a member of New Zion Baptist Church near Oak Grove, Louisiana. Mr. Warren was a veteran of World War II, perhaps the oldest living in West Carroll Parish, where he served in the Navy aboard the USS Bland in the South Pacific Theatre of operations in Leyte and Luzon in the Philippines.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Goldie Marie (Morse) Warren; his father, William Ozie Warren; his mother, Eva Lavelle (Dykes) Warren; son, William Anderson Warren; grandson, Donald Ruffin; and 2 great grandchildren, Nicholas Meziere and Tristan Neal.

He is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Patsy and Shelton Ruffin of Oak Grove, Louisiana; daughter, Kathleen Burgess of Oak Grove, Louisiana; son and daughter-in-law, Lavelle and Martha Warren of Oak Grove, Louisiana; son and daughter-in-law, Melvin and Kathy Warren of Oak Grove, Louisiana; 11 grandchildren: Jimmy Ruffin, Mike Ruffin, Greg Burgess, Doug Burgess, April Eubanks, Darren Warren, Amy Renee Warren, Tracy Thompson, Laura Warren, Mona Lee, and Richard Neal; 25 great grandchildren and 19 great great grandchildren.

Pallbearers are: Austin Aulds, Jacob Meziere, Chase Burgess, Lane Warren, Matthew Ruffin, and Kendall Thompson.

Honorary Pallbearers are: Cole Little, Maddox Warren, Dillian Thompson, and Christopher Lee.
