Sarah “Sally” Bealmear Pope (1861/6-1934) married John Walker Forgason (c1865-), of San Antonio, Tx. Their children were Col. Jack Pope (1900-95), and James Yewell Forgason (c1903-) who married Mary Gets. Col. Jack Pope Forgason (1900-95)(Texas A&M 1924) lived in Beeville, Tex. He was a county agricultural extension agent, 1925-40, 1945-64, and president of the Beeville Rotary Club. He served in the Army in WWI, 1917-19, and WWII, 1940-45. He married Mattie Mae Mason (c1903-1969), of Gonzales, Tex. Their daughter, Jean Forgason (c1927-), lived in Corpus Christi, Tx. and married a Harrell. Their children are Guy who lives in Dallas, and Jackie Harrell who lives in Corpus Christi and married Richard Hines.

Sarah Bealmear Pope's father was James Yewell Pope (1817-1912), son of Benjamin, Jr. (1770-1830) and Margaret Yewell Pope (1781-1856), of Bullitt County, Ky. He owned the 237-acre Pope farm on the Salt River east of Shepherdsville, Ky. He married in 1840, Martha Beckwith Sanders (1824-80), daughter of Joseph (1793-1864) and Susan White Summers Sanders (1803-39), of Bullitt County. Their thirteen children were Susan Sanders (1841-1929), Benjamin Franklin (1843-1940)(dsp), Patsy Ann (1845-1939), Alexander Hamilton (1848-1916), Margaret Ellen (1851-1915), George W. (1854-68), Joseph Sanders (1856-82), Henry Thomas (1859-1911), Sarah Bealmear (1861-1934), Mary Valinda (1863-1903), James Wesley (1866-1950), John A. (1869-) and Albert Shanklin Pope (1869-1949).
