Charles Cecil Moss was born December 18, 1938 in Steele, Missouri. He was the sonof Cecil Moss and Arbazene Lenore Bradfield Moss.
He departed this life at his home in Caruthersville, Missouri on July 9, 2020. He was 81 years old.
On May 8, 1959, in Steele he was united in marriage to Betty L. Smith. She preceded him in death.
Charlie worked as a Missouri Highway Patrolman for several years based out of Van Burean, Missouri. He then moved his family to Caruthersville and began working for Turner Milk. He served Pemiscot County as the Presiding Commissioner for 8 years.
Charlie loved people. He was always one of the first to gather at the "morning table" at the Daylight Donut Shop each morning to begin telling the news. He loved his family particularly his grandchildren and great great grandsons.

Greg Moss (Belinda) - Caruthersville, MO
3 grandchildren - Cody Moss (Wren) - Higginsville, MO - Caleb Moss - Caruthersville, MO - Casey Gray (Lamar) - Caruthersville, MO
2 great grandsons - Marlen Gray and David Gregory Moss

He was preceded in death by his parents - Cecil and Lenore Moss, his wife - Betty Moss and a brother - Benny Dewayne Moss.
Funeral services will be Friday, July 10 at 12:00 p.m. in the H.S. Smith chapel.
