Barbara Ellen Dow Snyder (70 years young) from Lewisville, TX passed July 3, 2020.

Barbara was born in Buffalo, NY and lived in 13 locations across the country (coast to coast). She attended Centerville High School in Ohio. She moved to Lewisville, TX in the 90’s to be close to her daughter and grandchildren. She had a wide range of jobs including; data entry, starting a natural food restaurant, production assistant for movies, and finished her career with Oracle Corporation as a senior instructor, technical writer, and educator. She gained her spirit of adventure while traveling with work for 11 years all over the US and Canada.

Barbara loved her family with all her heart. She loved doing any activity that included her grandchildren from; sports, choir, school events, and beach trips. She was so proud of all of them. Barbara loved getting together with her Lewisville peeps for meetups, painting rocks, walking the mall, and water aerobics. She loved attending local theater shows and concerts in the park. Barbara loved attending Lewisville University, being apart of Citizen’s Police Academy, and leaving her lasting mark on the community. She felt most fulfilled when volunteering with LCPAAA and especially Ashton’s Room, which held a special place in her heart.

Barbara is survived by her daughter (Kim Cloud), her grandchildren (Rhett Butler, Tara Butler, Katelyn Cloud), her sister (Pat Kinder), brother (Robert Dow), and lots of nieces and nephews. She was met in heaven by her parents, her brother-in-law, brother, aunts, uncles, and snuggled with past pets.

Barbara will be buried at Old Hall Cemetery in Lewisville, TX on Saturday, July 18, 2020 at 10:13 am. Because of Coronavirus, we will have limited space for friends and family to gather. If attending, please be mindful of social distancing guidelines. We will be hosting a Facebook live via Barbara’s personal facebook page so all can join the celebration of life. Reception to be determined.

In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Ashton’s Room. Checks can be mailed to LCPAAA, PO Box 292263, Lewisville, TX 75029.
