Mrs. Pittman was born on August 2, 1954, to the late Ernest and Rosie Jones of Montrose as Betty Jean Jones. She was a graduate of West Laurens High School in the Class of 1972. Mrs. Pittman was employed with Dublin City Schools for 32 years and at the Kroger Company for 25 years where she retired when her health started to decline. She was a member of the Greater Union Grove Church of God in Christ. Mrs. Pittman passed away on Friday, July 3, 2020.
Mrs. Pittman was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Rosie Jones, and by her brother, Ernest Quinton Jones.
Mrs. Pittman leaves to cherish her memory her two daughters, Tanya Pittman of Virginia, and Tameika (Reverend Antwain) Lloyd of Rentz, two sisters, Beverly Wilson of Dublin, and Angela (Micheal) Wright of Montrose, one brother, Torrance (Tabitha) Jones of Dublin, three grandchildren, Tyrese Jackson, Marlin Wilbur, Jr., Arryanna Lloyd, one great-grandchild, Haidyn Wilbur, special friend, Willie King, Jr., in-laws, Glinder Salter, Steve Pittman, Ethel Pooler, Ponder Pittman, and Linda Pittman and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
