Summit County Beacon, Wednesday, 15 October 1890, 2:7:

KLINE - At 605 East Exchange street, Akron, O., of convulsions, Tina Burnham, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clint W. Kline, aged 1 month and 8 days.

This is an UNMARKED grave, and I felt EVERYONE deserves to be remembered!

What I know:

In May of 1969 my grandfather Ernie Walser, passed away. It was while digging his grave in the northwest corner of our plot that they discovered the casket of a child. The grave was not marked, and was left as is, moving my grandfathers burial site over one spot, as well as my grandmother Eva in 1986. The topic of "unknown baby" was brought up again at that time, and in 1988 when my father passed away, but I never thought anymore about it until my mother's death.

While going through my mom's papers (mostly from my father) I noticed my dad had actually written "Klein Baby" on one of the sheets he had made himself. So after stopping into the main office and filling out the paperwork for my mothers interment, I inquired into how this could have come about. There in the Cemetery Lot Record was the name "Tina B. Klein" (image at right)

As you will see, there is no age listed for her, the record is out of order by at least 20 years, and yes I checked ... there are no other Klien's in that area of the cemetery. And since the 1890 census was destroyed by fire, this page seems to be the only way she will ever be recognized. So seeing how she will forever be linked to my family, I'm adopting her.

If anyone has any information, please free to contact me by the email listed on my profile page.
