Kristy O'Field Fisher

Kristy O'Field Fisher, 37, of Fort Mill, S.C., died Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2007, at home following a courageous 15-month battle against cancer.

Kristy was a 1988 graduate of Shady Spring High School in Shady Spring W.Va. She attended Marshall University, Coastal Carolina University, and earned an Associate Degree from Mountain State University.

She is survived by her husband, Chip Fisher; eight-year-old daughter, Ashlyn Fisher; parents, Bill and Donna O'Field of Daniels; brother, Steve O'Field of Beaver; maternal grandmother, Millie Ong of Charleston; and paternal grandparents, Harold and Betty O'Field of Lewisburg.

Visitation was held Aug. 30, at Wolfe Funeral Home in Fort Mill, S.C. A private family graveside service will be held at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Beckley, on Saturday, Sept. 1, at 1 p.m.

The family would like to give special thanks to the staff and especially Barb McGoye of Hospice of North Carolina.

In lieu of flowers, a college savings account has been established in her daughter's name Ashlyn Alexandra Fisher. Donations may be mailed to Ashlyn Fisher College Savings Fund, 311 Altovista Ct., Ft. Mill, SC 29708.
