Judith Magill Kiffmeyer was born in Van Nuys, California. Judy was the precious daughter of Cyril Drummond Magill and Jane Tucker Magill. Judy graduated from Van Nuys high School in 1958 And attended Occidental College. She married her beloved husband John Kiffmeyer in 1961. In 1975 Judy completed her Bachelor's degree at California State University, Northridge, just prior to the family moving to El Sobrante in Northern California. She worked as an Executive Secretary for Educational Testing Service in Berkeley, as a legal secretary for the law firm of Moore, Clifford, Wolfe, Larson and Trutner in Oakland and later moved to Great Western Savings and Loan Legal department in Oakland.
In 1987, Judy was one of the first liver transplant recipients at UCLA Medical Center. Her family was blessed to have had her for an additional 33 years due to the generosity of an organ donor family. During those years Judy and John lived a full life of traveling around the world, visiting many places in the United States, Europe, Asia, South America and Australia.
Judy was a faithful and cherished member of Christ the Lord Episcopal Church in Pinole, California for 42 years. She served with dedication and commitment in many roles, including a number of times as Senior Warden of the Vestry. She was also an active member of the P.E.O. sisterhood (Philanthropic Educational Organization) Chapter MT Richmond, committed to providing educational opportunities for female students worldwide.
Judy will forever be remembered for her deep faith, a loving spirit, and boundless love for her family. A treasured wife, sister, mother and grandmother. Judy is survived by John, her husband of 58 years, and daughter Kathy, son-in-law Larry, son John, daughter-in-law Greta, brother John, sister-in-law Tina and four grandchildren.
