Mrs. Sara Atkins Hood, age 51, a housewife of Winona, died Tuesday, March 15, after several months of illness, at Tyler Holmes Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Hood was born in Montgomery County, in Kilmichael.
She is survived by her husband, Paul Hood, two daughters, Mrs. Paula McCaulla of Memphis, Tenn. and Miss Faye Hood of Jackson, Miss. Mrs. Hood is also survived by her mother, Mrs. J. B. Atkins of Winona; one sister, Mrs. Margie McKnight of Winona and one brother, L. O. Atkins, Forest, Miss. Mrs. Hood had 3 grandchildren.
Mrs. Hood was a member of Moore Memorial Methodist Church.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, March 16, 1977, at Moore Memorial Methodist Church, with Rev. W. V. Kemp officiating. Burial was in the Oakwood Cemetery, with Winona Funeral Home in charge.
Pallbearers were Curtis Laney, Rouse Dixon, Bernard Barnhill, Jim Ansley, Garry Azbell, Charley Wade, J. R. Pinkston, and Gilbert Campbell.
