Ocala - Lillian Marie Abbate, age 78, beloved Wife of the late Raymond Abbate and beloved Mother of the late John Abbate, passed away on Tuesday, August 28, 2007 in Ocala.

Mrs. Abbate was born in Brooklyn, New York, on February 3, 1929. She lived in Bellmore, Long Island most of her lifetime, and moved to Florida in 1993.

Her hobbies included golfing, bowling and playing cards.

She is survived by sisters, Marquerite Dineen of Merrick, Long Island, New York, and Joan Martin of Bellmore, Long Island, New York; many loving nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews; and many great friends.

She was preceded in death by sisters, Rosalie Dervin and Elleen Clark.

Visitation will be Sunday, September 2, 2007 from 3:00 to 7:00 PM at HIERS-BAXLEY FUNERAL SERVICES - TIMBERRIDGE, Ocala, Florida.

Funeral mass will be Monday, September 3, 2007 8:30 AM at Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Ocala.

Interment will take place at Good Shepherd Memorial Gardens, Ocala.

Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society.
