Myra Grant Wallace, 78, passed away May 3, 1983 at the University Hospital in Salt Lake City.
Born March 26, 1905, Salt Lake City, to Joseph H. and Algie Hatch Grant. Married Victor A. Wallace, September 14, 1926 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple; the ceremony was performed by Heber J. Grant.
Graduated from the University of Utah in 1927 and did post graduate work at George Washington University in Washington, D.C. All of her life she was both teacher and pupil, remaining active as a special volunteer teacher, tutoring in the Resource Room at Morningside Elementary School. Her efforts were rewarded by Granite School District with a special award and the love of all her friends and students.
She is survived by one son, two daughters: Carl C., Salt Lake City; Victoria W. Dawson, Eden, North Carolina, Charlotte W. Haverlock, San Francisco, California; nine grandchildren; and a sister, Joyce G. Dalton, Salt Lake City.
Graveside services will be Friday, May 6, at 11:00 a.m. in the Bountiful City Cemetery.
