Marion F. “Buddy” Green, Jr., 81, of Ocilla, Georgia, died Thursday, July 9, 2020, at Pruitt Healthcare of Ocilla, Georgia. Graveside services will be held 11 AM, Saturday, July 11, 2020, at Pine Level Cemetery in Ben Hill County, Georgia, with the Rev. Gerald Purvis officiating. The family will greet friends at the cemetery from 10:30 AM until the service.

Mr. Green was born September 4, 1938, in Ocilla, Georgia to the late Marion Francis & Irene Miriam McMillian Green. He attended Georgia Military College and was drafted into the United States Army and served his country honorably. He was a farmer and was a final finishing inspector for Coachmen Industries. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and cutting his grass. Mr. Green was a member of the Ocilla United Methodist Church and the American Legion.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Sylvia McCook Green of Ocilla, children, Valerie McFerran & Greg of Fitzgerald and Marion Allen Green of Ocilla; grandchildren, Lindsey Ann Taylor & Jonathon, Taylor Allen Green and Cierra Lynn McFerran; a great-grandson, Cotton Jack Taylor and a sister, Lillian Dyal & Marvin of Jacksonville, Florida. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Melba Green Morris.
