He received his education in the public schools of Sumter County and was a 1972 graduate of Americus High School. He was employed as an environmental service specialist with the Schley County Board of Education. He was united in Holy Matrimony on July 14, 2008 to Ms. Julia Pearl Mann. He served in the United States Army. He enjoyed reading, playing spades, but most of all, spending time with loved ones.
He is preceded in death by his sister, Francis Parks.
