Mrs. Lizzie Mae Crews Howard, 71, died Saturday (May 20, 2006) at her residence following a short illness.

She was a native of Charlton County but had lived most of her life in Ware County. She was the daughter of the late Lloyd Crews and Eula Brooks Crews. She was preceded in death by a son, Fred S. Davis, Jr.; three sisters, Mary Lou, Oradel, and Myra; and two brothers, Eldon and Eugene.

She was a former employee of Waycross Sportswear and had been a private sitter for the past few years. She was a member of the Evangelical Methodist Church.

The survivors include her husband, Jack Howard of Waycross; three sons, Mike Davis (wife Henrietta), Ronnie Lee Davis both of Waycross, Kenny Davis (wife Charline) of Blackshear; seven grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; three sisters, Helen Raulerson (husband Bobby) of Waycross, Fannie Sapp of Hoboken, Reba Rush of Jacksonville, FL; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday (May 23, 2006) at Music Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Laura Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Monday night from 6 until 8.
