Glenna Mae (Taylor) Anderson passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on July 7, 2020. She was born on July 17, 1930, to Audrey and Glenna Taylor of Cookville, Texas.

She loved God, her family, her church, and fishing, gardening, sewing, painting, and singing. She was a loving wife to Donnie Anderson for 67 years, a devoted daughter to her parents, a dedicated mother to her four children, a proud grandmother and great grandmother. She was a lifelong member of Cookville Church of Christ.

Glenna Mae is survived by her children, Shelia and Leon Newman, Dennis and Judy Anderson, Patty and Dennis Hood, and Troy Anderson; her grandchildren Stacy and Thomas Ratliff, Lance and Keri Newman, Jennifer and Jacob Hunter, Jeff and Ashley Anderson, Ty and Lara Hood, Carmen and Justin Dowdy, and Jarod Anderson and his fiancé Hailey Neyland; and her great grandchildren Sara Ratliff, Taylor Ratliff, Layton Newman, Sydney Newman, Chloe Gruber, Couri Gruber, Tripp Anderson, Grant Hood, McKenna Hood, Kailee Dowdy, Bristol Dowdy, Leah Dowdy, and Julia Mae Dowdy.

She is also survived by her brothers and spouses John Henry Taylor, James “Jim” and Eunice Taylor, Jerry and Beverly Taylor, Royce Taylor, sister-in-law Margaret Taylor, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Donald Gene Anderson, her sister Margaret Dawson, and brothers Samuel “Buddy” Taylor and Marvin Taylor.

Services will be held on Friday, July 10, at 10:00 am at Bates-Cooper-Sloan Funeral Home with a burial to follow at Cooper’s Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 9, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.
