Mary Louise Whiteside-Webber, 69 of Asheville, NC, passed away peacefully on October 23, 2019. She was born November 15, 1949 in Asheville, NC. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Pauline Whiteside, brothers; Jeter Whiteside, George Whiteside, Jr., sisters; Doretha Plaire and Vivian Arrington.

Prior to her retirement, Mary was employed at the VA Hospital and received multiple accommodations and awards. She was light hearted, quick with her witt and good at making those around her laugh. Mary loved her family and always enjoyed time with her friends.

Ms. Whiteside-Webber is survived by her sons; Gerald Whiteside (Patrice), Taurus Cave (Michelle); sister, Annette Johnson Edwards (Charles); grandchildren; Taurice Cave, Tauria Cave, Patrick Hensley, Jessica Calhoun; 4 great-grandchildren, special friend Elvis Pinkney, many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services for Mrs. Whiteside-Webber will be held on Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at 12:00 pm at H.B. Fergerson Church. A visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service. Burial will immediately follow the service at Sunset Cemetery.
