Kenneth Rowen Matthews
January 23, 1953 - July 6, 2020
Kenneth Rowen Matthews, 67, of Weaverville, NC, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, July 6, 2020.
Kenneth was born January 23, 1953 to his late parents, Wallace and Lillian Plemmons Matthews. He attended Flat Creek Baptist Church. An electrician for over 40 years, he also worked for Steelcase Co. for 20 years. One of his greatest joys was his family, he loved spending time with all of them, especially the grandkids. He enjoyed fishing, was an avid hunter, and appreciated, respected and collected several firearms.
Left to cherish his memory are, his wife of 40 years, Kathy Fisher Matthews, two children, Keenan Matthews (Misty) and Keea Gilliam (Jordan), and four grandchildren: Cameron, Kayla, Carter and Kolby.
A service will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, July 9, 2020 at Madison Funeral Services with Grey Fisher, Brian Hanrahan, Martin Fisher and Jordan Gilliam officiating. The family will arrive at 12:00. Interment will follow at Flat Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
