Christine Mae “Teeny” Compton, 31, of Salem, VA, was taken home to be with her heavenly Father on Thursday, July 2, 2020, in Salem. She was born on Sunday, November 20, 1988, to Christine Wilson and the late David Keith Compton, Sr. Teeny loved cheesecake and she loved to dance! She adored her children and her family and will be dearly missed by all. In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Anna and Edward Crowder; paternal grandparents, Gene and Shirley Compton; and aunt, Lilly; cousin, and “Little Lilly.”

Those left to remember her dance in addition to her mother include her children, David Kessler, Legacy Cramer, Serenity Knott, Journey Jordan, Nevaeh Jordan, and Legend Cramer; siblings, Eddie Garey (Nikki), Anna Blankenship (Allen), Mary Baer, Jeremiah Lamb (Leo), Ivie Will (Chris), David Compton (Nikki), and Randy Baer (Nikki); best friend, Laura Pastel; special friend, Vince Cramer; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

A celebration of her life will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 9, 2020, at the John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home in Salem, VA, with Pastor John Ferguson officiating.

Friends may visit with the family from 5 p.m. until the service hour at the funeral home Thursday evening.

The family wishes to thank family, friends, and the staff of Lewis-Gale Medical Center for all the love and care in Teeny’s last dance on this side of eternity.

As we all know, Christine had a personality that was too bright for this world and she enjoyed every moment of her life. At her request, you are asked to wear bright happy colors to the service to celebrate and honor her precious life.
