Carolyn was born on May 23, 1930 in Shelbyville, Tennessee to the late Nannie Lea Kimery and Fred Kimery. She was a devoted Christian where she faithfully attended First United Methodist Church of Warner Robins. She was a member of the Wesley Fellowship Sunday School Class. Carolyn was a graduate of the 1948 class of Shelbyville High school. Upon graduation, she attended Middle Tennessee State and obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education Carolyn was a retired teacher from the Houston County Board of Education where she taught at Miller Elementary School for countless years. Upon her retirement, she was a co-owner of Reeves RPM Performance.
There to meet her at the gates of heaven was her beloved husband, John W. Reeves and her siblings; Frances Wilkinson, Alice Eley, Lucile Haas, Edwin Kimery.
Left to cherish her memory is her beloved children; Steven (Debra) Reeves, Kimery (Steve) Barrett, and Tamra (Joe) Galipo; 5 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and a host of extended family members.
The family would like to thank the caregivers at Antebellum Grove Senior Living for their support and love they have shown to Mrs. Carolyn. The family asks that donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or St. Jude Research Hospital.
