Lillian H. Carr of Charlevoix, Michigan, entered eternal life on Saturday, July 9, 2011, at her home. She was 88 years old.

Lillian was born November 6, 1922 in Bloomington, Idaho, the daughter of Alfred and Sarah (Patterson) Hart. Lillian graduated from Fielding High School in Paris, Idaho, in 1940, and from the Latter Day Saints Business College in Salt Lake City, Utah, in 1941.

On December 17, 1942, Lillian married Raymond O. Carr in Salt Lake City. They made their home in Metamora, Ohio; Barryton, Vanderbilt, and Lake City, Michigan, before moving to Charlevoix in 1966, where Lillian worked as the secretary to the superintendent of Charlevoix Public Schools for 18 years, retiring in 1984.

Lillian was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and of the Michigan Association of Retired School Personnel.

Lillian is survived by her children, Dennis H. (Connie) Carr of Charlevoix, Diana (Steve) Weisgerber of Tustin, Nancy (Mazen Sayed) Foltz of Dallas/Ft. Worth, Texas, and Elaine (Robert) Rydze of Iowa City, Iowa; eleven grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; sisters, Norma Anderson of San Lorenzo, Calif.; and brother, Dr. Douglas (Bonnie) Hart of Logan, Utah.

Lillian's husband, Raymond, preceded her in death on May 12, 1999. She also was preceded in death by six brothers and two sisters.

Memorial Service: Saturday, July 30, 2011 at 11 a.m, at the Winchester Funeral Home in Charlevoix, with visitation from 10 a.m. until time of service.

Interment: Brookside Cemetery in Charlevoix
