Sarah C. "Dena" (MacNeil) Hall of West Roxbury, formerly of Jamaica Plain, passed away July 4, 2020. Beloved wife of the late Donald F. Hall. Beloved daughter of the late John Joseph and Mary MacNeil of Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada. Devoted mother of three daughters, Debbie Marks of Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada, Brenda Hall-Samuels of Hyde Park, and Mary Jo Farley of Medway, and their respective spouses. Devoted sister of Daniel MacNeil of Canada, Rosella Campbell of Canada, and the late Josephine Cormier of Canada. Loving grandmother of 5 grandchildren. Dena is also survived by many nieces, nephews and other family.

Sarah "Dena" was born December 12, 1939 in Christmas Island, Nova Scotia, Canada. In 1965 Dena came to Boston with her late best friend Margie to be a full-time nanny in Newton, MA. Dena did this for several years. After meeting Donald and getting married Dena worked as a lunch mother within the Boston Public School system, at the school her daughter’s attended. After leaving the school system Dena worked at the Roslindale Medical and Dental Center up until the time she retired. Dena loved gambling (always at Foxwoods), going on three months vacations to Canada when her daughters were younger, spending time with her grandchildren and going out with friends
