Gaffney, SC - Carrie Wyatt Blalock, of 2143 Beech Street Extension, entered into eternal peace and into the loving arms of Jesus Christ, her Lord and Saviour, joining her adoring husband, Horace Lee Benjamin (Bill) Blalock on Saturday, March 18, 2017. She was at her home that she loved so much, surrounded by loved ones. Born in Spartanburg on May 7, 1930, she was the daughter of the late John Wyatt and Ola Blackwell Wyatt. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She closed the doors and retired after 40 years as owner and stylist of Carrie’s Hair Affair. Mrs. Blalock was a member of Temple Baptist Church.
A Cryptside service will be held at 3:00 PM on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at Frederick Memorial Gardens with Chaplain Vernon Thornhill officiating. The family will receive friends immediately after the service in the mausoleum.
