Susan Agnes Montgomery, 77, passed into the arms of Jesus on Tuesday, July 07, 2020 at MS Baptist Medical Center. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 08, 2020 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram and again at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 09, 2020 at Parkhill Baptist Church in Jackson, MS before the funeral service at 10:00 a.m. A graveside service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Mt Pisgah Cemetery in Carrollton, MS.
Mrs. Montgomery was born to John McNeer and Annie Parker on January 26, 1943 in Grenada County, MS. She retired from UMMC where she was employed as an adminstrator. Susan’s passion in life was her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved the Lord and her church. In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Montgomery; daughter, Donna Montgomery; and son, Gary Montgomery. She is survived by her son, Duane (Terri) Montgomery of Terry; daughter, Leisa Grijalva of Tucson, AZ; sister, Jessie Bailey of Florence; three grandchildren, Cari Martin, Carly Browning, and Austin Driscoll; and six great-grandchildren: Presley, Kendall and Jacob Martin; Easton and Cooper Browning; and Jones Driscoll.
