Funeral services for Shirley Ann Sexton, 73, of Gilmer, Texas are scheduled for 11:00 am, Saturday, July 11, 2020 in the chapel of McWhorter Funeral Home with Bro. Wayne Norvell officiating. The family will receive friends at 10:00 am prior to the service. Private interment at West Mountain Cemetery.
Shirley was born July 17, 1946 in Natchez, Mississippi, to William Davidson and Dora Monk Davidson and passed from this life July 3, 2020 with her family by her side. She was a very strong, courageous, loving woman. She had a huge heart full of love, all for her family. Shirley had an unbreakable bond and love for her grandchildren, Kayla, Gage and Grayson. She loved going on vacations, playing solitary games, doing puzzles and watching movies. Drinking coffee in the mornings with her granddaughter and grandson was one of her favorite things to do. She was a very unique person with her own personality and a special sweet soul. Goodbye is such a painful word-so it’s just “see you later”. You will be strongly missed. You are free with Kayla now.
