George Christian Glau, 80, Route 1, Sioux City, died Saturday in a Sioux City hospital after a brief illness.
Mr. Glau was born May 31, 1894, in Sioux City. He married Emma Hines May 15, 1919 in Sioux City. The couple farmed near here. Mrs. Glau died Oct. 25, 1965.
Mr. Glau was a lifetime resident of Plymouth County. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sioux City.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Clarence (Delores) Gloyer of Merrill, Iowa; three sons, Levern of Ames, Iowa, Darrell of Sioux City and George of Downey, Calif.; two brothers, Julius of San Antonio, Tex. and Fred of Washburn, Wis.; a Sister, Mrs. Floyd (Lena) Miller of San Antonio; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
The body was taken to the Anderson-Peraso Funeral Home.
