He was an Army veteran and attained the rank of Specialist E-5 Vernon enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and especially spending time with his grandchildren.
Vernon was preceded in death by his sister, Nancy Jarvis.
He is survived by his wife, Donna Harrison; daughter, Carrie (Charles) Bailey; son, Michael (Jennifer) Harrison; 4 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; brothers, Floyd (Faye) Harrison, Robert (Barbara) Harrison and Jeffrey (Debbie) Harrison.
A Funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, July 9, 2020 at Alexander West Chapel officiated by Rev. Don Moore with burial to follow in Alexander Memorial Park. Friends may visit 11:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Published in Courier Press from July 7, to July 8, 2020.
