She was born July 6, 1923 in Wilmington, NC the daughter of the late Charlie H. and Daisy Mason Rogers. She was preceded in death by her husband, D. H. Johnson.
Mrs. Johnson was a member of the Middle Sound Advent Christian Church. She and her husband owned and operated Johnson Marine for many years. They also developed and managed D. H. Estates.
Surviving are her son, Roger P. Johnson and her daughter, Paula J. Honeycutt, both of Hampstead, NC; three grandchildren, Rodney P. Johnson, Jeffrey D. Johnson, and Bridget Evelyn Gilbert and husband John, all of Wilmington, NC; one great grandchild, Molly E. Johnson; one sister, Juanita R. Mills of Winnabow, NC; special family member, Sharon C. Batson of Wilmington, NC; and a special friend and caregiver, Stella Norwood.
The family will receive friends from 1 PM until 2 P.M. Monday, January 21, 2013 at Andrews Mortuary Market Street Chapel, followed by the funeral service at 2 PM. Interment will follow in Prospect Cemetery.
