Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Stephen H. Crowell, Sr. and Claire (Richmond) Crowell.
Mr. Crowell worked in the Environmental Services Department at Miriam Hospital for over thirty-five years before retiring. He served our country honorably in the United States Army during the Korean War, and will be sorely missed by those who knew and loved him. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, and smoking his pipe.
He leaves three sons, Stephen H. Crowell, III and his wife Sharon, of Fort Myers, FL, Bruce W. Crowell and his wife Rochelle, of Lincoln, RI, and Richard A. Crowell and his wife Hilary, of Vergennes, VT; a daughter, Carol A. Stormes and her husband Keith, of Pawtucket, RI; daughter in law, Terri Crowell, wife of the late son Gilbert N. Crowell, of Columbia, SC; a sister, Marjorie Kurtz, of Warwick, RI; seven grandchildren, Stephen, Russell, Brandon, Kathryn, Alexandria, Shanlee and Sebastien; and eight great grandchildren, Dylan, Dominic, Isaac, Ethan, Olencia, Donovan, Evelyn and Emma. He was predeceased by a granddaughter, Jennifer Gorton and a sister, Mary Ring.
The funeral, and burial with military honors, will be held in the near future as pandemic restrictions ease.
