YOUNGER, Barbara Ann (nee: Morgan), 86, a lifetime Lebanon resident, passed away on Sunday, July 5, 2020, at her residence. Born December 1, 1933 in Lebanon, OH to Alonzo and Edith (nee: Sims) Morgan, she was a 1951 Graduate of Lebanon High School. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree from the Central State University in 1959 and her Master’s of Education Degree from Wright State University. She was a teacher in the Lebanon School District for more than 30 years before retiring in 1998. She taught first and second grades before becoming the Title 1 Reading Teacher for the district. A member of the Honor Society while at Wright State, she was also active with the Bethel AME Church in Lebanon.
Preceded in death by her parents and her husband, James H. Younger, JR, she is survived by her son, Eric (Toni) Younger of Springboro, her daughter, Karen Bentley of Lebanon, her three grandchildren, Journey Younger, Raphael Jackson, and Enreiko Jackson Younger, her great -grandchild, Lilly Jackson and one great-grandchild due in August.
Visitation, Thursday, July 9, 2020 from 5 – 7 PM at the Oswald-Hoskins Funeral Home, Lebanon. Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, private services will be held on Friday with Reverend Karen Schaeffer officiating, with interment following in Lebanon Cemetery.
