Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, July 10, 2020 at Memorial Services of Iowa (4208 N. Ankeny Blvd). A graveside service will be held Saturday, July 11, 2020 at Lincoln Cemetery in Alleman. Those attending the graveside service are asked to meet at the funeral home and a procession will leave there at 10:00 a.m.
Scott graduated in 1966 from Tech High in Des Moines, IA. He worked for the City of Des Moines for 44 years. Scott enjoyed fishing, traveling, car shows, watching NASCAR races, square dancing, and was a member of the Corvette Club of Iowa.
Scott is survived by his wife of 35 years, Elizabeth; children, Julie (Tony), Rebecca (Craig), and Sean; step-children, William (Lora), Paul, Tim, and Susan; sisters, Karen and Linda (Ray); brother, Amos (Angie); mother-in-law, MaryAnn; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his biological and adopted parents; brother-in-law, Gary Mlekush; and nephews, Stevie Naes and Scottie Mlekush.
Memorial Contributions may be directed to the family for a memorial fund established at a later date.
