He worked for CenterPoint Energy for 17 years, started Center Shot Ministries for the youth at Faith Outreach and was a member of Faith Outreach Church in West Helena. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and playing with his grandchildren.
He was survived by his wife of 11 years, Melissa Wood; two sons, Blake Wood (Ashley) of Lexa, Arkansas and Tyler Bourland of Hot Springs, Arkansas; two daughters, Hannah Wood of West Helena and Brooklyn Roberts (Donald) of Lexa; nine grandchildren, Kinlee Gilchrist, Easton Wood, Sutton Wood, Harleigh Gordon, Della Roberts, Finleigh Roberts, Ava Bourland, Addie Bourland and Lilly Blaine; his parents; two brothers, James Wood (Beth) of Alabama and Seth Wood (Kati) of Poplar Grove, Arkansas; and a host of other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Thelma Marie Wood; father-in-law, Freddie Ginn; grandmother, Pauline Victory; and cousin, Anthony Woods.
