Helena Eleonora "Ellen" Wilhelmina Idström, born Holzhausen on January 16, 1857 in Stockholm ,died on May 13, 1931 in Gothenburg. She was a Swedish author/script writer.

Ellen was the daughter of tailor Fredrik Vilhelm Holzhausen and Julia Lovisa Willgren. She was the initiator of the formation of the Association for Women's Political Voting Rights in Gothenburg and treasurer there in 1902–09. She founded the association Örgryte school holidays colonies and was its chairman in 1904–09. She wrote newspaper articles, travel letters, short stories and novels. In the short story Vinddrifne (1894), the theme was the struggle between the dream of life and the harsh demands of reality and was characterized by a happy union of idealism and realism , with the strongest inclination in the latter direction. She later resided in Varberg. She married in 1887 to Consul Axel Fredrik Idström, but divorced in 1913.
