G. W. Cadwallender
George William (Cadd) Cadwallender,
49, of Glasgow, died this
morning in St. Francis hospital of
congestive heart failure. He was
formerly a wireman for the
Co. at Harewood. Semet-Solvay
Born at Ronda, he was a lifelong
resident of Kanawha county. Son of
Robert Herman and Nancy Ann Reynolds
Cadwallender
Mr. Cadd was a member of local 7113,
UMWA, and K. of P. lodge 177 at
Cedar Grove and Shirax Temple
No. 20, DOKK.
Surviving are one son, Charles
B Cadwallender of Illinois, and
one sister, Mrs. Arch King of Glasgow,
with whom he made his
home.
The body is at the home of his
sister where services will be held
tomorrow at noon. The body will
then be taken to the home of an
aunt, Mrs. Mebert Reynolds of
Milton Rt. 4 and additional services
will be held Sunday at
p. m. at the family church near
Milton, with burial in the nearby
Smith cemetery. The body will be
taken to the church one hour before
srvices.

Cadd is short for Cadwallender.

On June 25, 1931 George W. Cadwallender
applied for marriage licenes with Opal
R. Hayes.


NOTE:
There is another Smith Cemetery near Milton, at Hurricane. The bio on the main page says there are only two grave markers readable and that there is app. 20 graves, and is located on a hillside. George Cawallender may be in that Smith Cemetery instead of this one. If anyone finds out for sure, notify me and I will be glad to make the change. Thanks...
