ATHENS - Services for Barbara Ann Griffin, 78, Athens, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday at First Baptist Church, Athens, with Dr. Kyle Henderson officiating.
Burial will be in Oaklawn Memorial Park under direction of Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home, Athens.
Mrs. Griffin died Aug. 29, 2007, in an Athens hospital.
She was born Nov. 23, 1928, in Bryceland, La., to the late Winfrey Albert and Eva Claire Head Bryan. She lived in Orange for 40 years and moved to Athens 11 years ago. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church and Senior Sunday School Class.
Survivors include her husband, Dr. Oscar Ray Griffin, Athens; sons, Bryan Griffin, Texarkana, Richard Griffin, Athens, and Stephen Griffin, Tulsa, Okla.; daughters, Barbara Millis, Houston, and Eileen Horton, Little Elm; sisters, Virginia Burton, Salt Lake City, Utah, and Mary Theo Montgomery, Delhi, La.; 10 grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers are nephews, Robin Bryan, Rex Bryan, Marvin Greer, William Bryan, Marvin Montgomery, David Bryan, Corky Bryan and Monty Montgomery.
Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
If desired, memorials may be made to Athens Christian Academy – First Baptist Church, 105 S. Carroll, Athens, 75751.
