Charles Combs, age 66, a resident of Lick Creek Road in Salyersville, Kentucky; passed away Monday, July 6, 2020 at his home.
Charles was born April 25, 1954 in Salyersville, Kentucky the son of the late CJ and Anna Mae Salyer Combs. Son, Jason Combs, daughter, Jessica Combs, brothers, Jerry Combs, George Phillip Patton, and sisters, Sandy Hibbons, Joannie Conley.
Charles was a graduate of Salyersville High School in Salyersville, Kentucky. He was employed as a truck driver until his retirement.
Those left to mourn includes his wife, Betty Helton Combs, whom he married June 13, 1972, of Salyersville, Kentucky, brother, Mark Combs of Salyersville, Kentucky, sisters, Kathy Patrick of Salyersville, Kentucky, Willetta Bailey of Paintsville, Kentucky, Jennifer Carty of Winchester, Kentucky, Ginger Ashworth of Winchester, Kentucky, three grandchildren, one great grandchild, a special nephew, James C. Combs of Salyersville, Kentucky, a host of family and friends who love and miss him.
Funeral services for Charles Combs will be conducted Friday, July 10, 2020 at 11:00 AM from the chapel of the Salyersville Funeral Home. Clergy William Paul Perkins will deliver comforting words on the day of service. Interment will follow in the Combs Cemetery on Elk Creek in Salyersville, Kentucky. The family will welcome friends Thursday, July 9, after 6:00 PM and anytime prior to funeral services. Contributions can be made to the memorial fund here at the funeral home.
