Death notice in The Argus, 24 August 1918, p. 18:

DROWNED IN CREEK.
COHUNA, Thursday - Miss Winifred Pollock has been drowned in Gunbower Creek, at Leitchville. She left her home to cross the creek in a boat to visit a friend. The boat was subsequently found overturned, and Miss Pollock's body was recovered after persistent dragging.
